VIDEO: "Awesome" tournament excites Larson Burbach

Jordan Larson Burbach also said she is happy with her move to Eczacibasi Vitra Istanbul last year

Zurich, Switzerland, May 7, 2015 – Jordan Larson-Burbach will no doubt be unhappy with Eczacibasi Vitra’s opening day loss to Hisamitsu Springs at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship Zurich 2015, but she told the FIVB Behind the Scenes crew that she is still delighted to be competing at an “awesome” tournament.

“It definitely ranks up there,” the 28-year-old, who won gold with USA at last year’s FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship in Italy said. “You have clubs from all over the world competing and all these girls from different national teams coming together. It’s definitely an awesome tournament to be part of.”

The Nebraska-born wing spiker added that she was also happy with her move to Eczacibasi last season after five years with Russia’s Dinamo Kazan, who she won the 2014 Club World Championship with, adding she simply needed a new challenge.
