South American Women's Club Championship semifinalists decided

 

Molico/Osasco's Thaisa Menezes, who was voted best 1st Middle Blocker at the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship in 2014, scored 17 points in her team's match against Club Boston College

Osasco, Brazil, February 6, 2015 - Day two of the South American Women’s Club Championship saw Argentine Club Atlético de Villa Dora, Peru’s San Martín de Porres, hosts Osasco Voleibol Clube and Rio de Janeiro Vôlei Clube claim their second victories in the competition and qualify for the semifinals. The competition winners will participate in the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship, which will take place in Zürich, Switzerland from May 5-10.

Villa Dora’s second victory in the competition came against Aragua Voleibol Club from Venezuela. Camila Hiruela scored 19 points as her team claimed a 3-1 (19-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-17) win.

Peru’s San Martín de Porres defeated Club Atlético Bohemios from Uruguay 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-7). Brazilian captain Milca Da Silva was again the top scorer for the Peruvian club with 14 points.

The two Brazilian clubs in the competition were both victorious in straight sets, with Thaisa Menezes the best scorer for hosts Molico/Osasco, who defeated Club Boston College from Chile 3-0 (25-11, 25-4, 25-12). Rio de Janeiro Vôlei Clube beat San Francisco Xavier from Bolivia 3-0 (25-5, 25-12, 25-5).

The final pool round matches will take place on Friday afternoon. They will be followed by the semifinals on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.
