Zurich, Switzerland, May 9, 2015 – Dinamo Krasnodar’s Liubov Shashkova says revenge is not on her mind as the side face Eczacibasi in the final of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship on Sunday following victory in the semifinal.
Liubov Shashkova, Dinamo Krasnodor: “We lost our first game of this tournament and it was terrible, but we always believed we could come back. We had hope. Today was really good. We had an excellent defence and block. We are so happy. We play Eczacibasi in the final, who beat us in that opening game. But we are not looking for revenge, we are just hoping to win.”
Konstantin Ushakov, Dinamo Krasnodar coach: “We were ready today, we had to win. The block and spike were good. Tomorrow will be very difficult, but we are a good team.”
Gabi Guimarães, Rexona AdeS wing spiker: "We committed too many unforced errors today. The Russians played a great game and we struggled with their incredible blocking game. At this very moment we are really disappointed. We were keen to claim the crown for our captain Fofão. Nevertheless, we have to forget it and find back to our game. Volero Zurich are a strong squad – we saw it in our group stage game. We can do better.”
