Jordan Larson Burbach: "I'm exhausted"

Zurich, Switzerland, May 10, 2015 – FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship MVP Jordan Larson Burbach said she and Eczacibasi VitrA gave everything on the way to beating Dinamo Krasnodar to clinch gold.

Jordan Larson-Burbach, Eczacibasi Vitra: “I’m exhausted. We left everything on the court today and I’m very proud of the team. We didn’t start the week well, but we got better and better. It wasn’t an easy game. They are a good team with a big block. This is just a reflection of all the hard work we’ve put in. Our coach did a great job. Winning the MVP is a great end to a perfect year. I’ve got 10 days off, and then it’s back to the national team, looking towards qualifying for the Olympics.”

Konstantin Ushakov, Dinamo Krasnodar coach: “We are disappointed, but this is the start of something, not the end. We had chances in the game that we didn’t take, but we displayed a good sprit. We started shaky and maybe weren’t quite mentally ready. But it takes a while to build a great team and we have made many improvements over the last year. Hopefully we can do better again next year.”

Fabiola Dinamo Krasnodar setter: “Eczacibasi are a great squad and since we struggled in the basics, like attacking and passing game, they could take over the reins in the first two sets. We became better afterwards, but committed too many unforced errors in the fourth - what made the difference today. Nevertheless, I’m happy with our performance here at the FIVB Club World Championship; now we can go home with the silver medal - not what we had aimed for, but still a very good result.”
