FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship Day 3 - As It Happened

 

Zurich, Switzerland, May 8, 2015 - Day 3 of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship Zurich 2015 has drawn to a close with Dinamo Krasnodar and Rexona AdeS booking their place in the semifinal after picking up wins. Catch up on the day's action here.


Rexona AdeS made light work of Mirador in the first match of the day, beating them in straight sets (25-14, 25-19, 25-19) to book their semifinal berth.

Dinamo Krasnodar then held off an early Hisamitsu Springs charge to beat them 3-1 (21-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-18) also progress to the semifinals.

The ninth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship takes place in Zurich from May 6 to 10.

The Women’s Club World Championship has had eight different winners from five different countries. Brazil has been represented on the winner’s podium three times, Turkey twice, while Azerbaijan, Italy and Russia have all had clubs win the competition once.

Six clubs will compete for honours in 2015, including Volero Zurich (Switzerland), Hisamitsu Springs (Japan), Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul (Turkey), Rexona Ades (Brazil), Dinamo Krasnodar (Russia) and Mirador (Dominican Republic).
