Despite Fenerbahce’s loss, Kim makes One to Watch and Dream Team videos

Luxembourg, March 7, 2015 - The first Playoff 6 leg of the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Women has finished and the cream of the courts was once again beautifully captured in the Stars in Motion videos, already available on CEV’s YouTube channel for everyone to see and enjoy the best moments of this week’s battles. Despite Fenerbahce Grundig Istanbul’s loss to city rival VakifBank, Yellow Angel Kim Yeon-Koung made both the Dream Team of the Week and the One to Watch.

Kim showed a superb performance indeed, topping the scorers’ charts of the entire leg with as many as 25 points, including 6 aces, and a spirit that not only keeps her team’s aspirations for a spot in the Final Four alive, but earned her a deserved recognition as the One to Watch.

Kim is also one of the two outside spikers of the Dream Team in the company of two players from each of the three winning teams. The stellar lineup features VakifBank’s setter Naz Aydemir Akyol and middle blocker Milena Rasic, Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio’s opposite Valentina Diouf and outside spiker Francesca Marcon and Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul’s middle blocker Maja Poljak and libero Gulden Kuzubasioglu.

The Istanbul derby, which had been picked as the Match of the Week, also topped the charts in the other two Stars in Motion highlight clips. Interestingly, both of them brought points to the eventual loser Fenerbahce. A long and beautiful rally that ended up with a successful attack by Eda Erdem Dundar claimed the No. 1 position among the Top 5 Most Amazing Rallies. Another Yellow Angel, Madelaynne Montano, sharp diagonal hit earned her the bragging rights on the best of the Top 5 Most Spectacular Net Actions.
