The hitter who was born in 1987 in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, has been playing in  the Dominican women's national team since 2005. With her national team, she won one gold medal, three silver medals and two bronz medals in Pan-American Cup. Also, she won one gold medal, two silver medals and two bronz medals in Norceca Championships. Many times, Bethania  De La Cruz has been the champion, while she was playing in Puerto Rico, Japan and South Korea. She took the "Best Scorer, Best Hitter" awards in many national or international tournaments, and took the "MVP" award in the Puerto Rico League and Norceca Championship of 2011 and 2012 Norceca Olympic Qualifiers. Furthermore, she was chosen as the best volleyball player of the year in 2007 and 2008 in her country. Bethania De La Cruz De Pena who joined Eczacibasi VitrA Volleyball Team in the season 2014-2015, has been the champion of  2015 CEV DenizBank Volleybal Champions League and was chosen as the best hitter of the tournament in her first year in Eczacibasi VitrA.
